NWPCC provides education on and through practice of Permaculture. This design system fosters a culture and economy for shared abundance of all beings within the boundaries of Planet Earth.
What We DoWe host annual convergences, which are a blend of work party, conference and festival; an all-in-one experience crafted in collaboration with PNW-based hosts who want to partner with NWPCC.
Convergences are diverse just like our PNW region; however, there common elements like intentional engagement with indigenous community, welcoming ceremony, shared meals, camping, live music, discussions, presentations and hands-on projects over an extended weekend.
We ever-refine our design for peaceful and synergistic productivity that embodies the permaculture ethics of fair share, earth care, and people care to maximize cultural exchange, learning and friendship building.
Ways to ParticipateThe NWPCC organizing team wishes to increase the number of gatherings we help facilitate across the PNW region in the coming years by encouraging self-led micro-convergences. These small gatherings would contribute to accessibility, relationship links, skill development, knowledge documentation, and awareness of what’s happening in our region.
Are you interested in hosting a micro-convergence? Do you have a skill to share and are open to teaching others? Do you have a project that would be great for a work party?
Just in case you are wondering… micro-convergences would be an addition to regional offerings. The annual big convergence would still take place in the fall, and offer a large mosaic of Northwest Permaculture where we can celebrate and learn from each other.
