What are the key leverage points? What can we learn from people already "living in the future?" Jan is putting together a series of zoom sessions that will focus on real life people and projects - a preview of a preferred future. Some people are ALREADY living in a preferred future. What are their stories? What are the allies and assets we have to work with for creating a preferred future? Jan calls upon an expansive array of experience. Thousands of people have visited his suburban property in Eugene to see what suburbia can become but this series will go far beyond a single property. Jan produces a one hour program broadcasted on several regional radio stations. Much of the zoom content will come from interviews with cultural change makers from Portland; Syracuse, NY; Cincinnati, Houston, LA, Oakland; Asheville, NC; Missoula Check these links 1] Highlights of radio programs, presentations, interviews https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4UHvCtwoRfE&t=974s A one hour highlight reel of creating a preferred future - transforming suburbia, critique of capitalism, eco villages, urban food systems, pushing back on cars, wisdom of the world's great spiritual traditions, what might a preferred future look like?, what might a one earth/fair share lifestyle look like? putting mainstream assets to more radical purpose and more. 2] Site tour of Jan's suburban property in Eugene [Thanks Raintree Nursery] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bsO4K1gG2Ao One of the most permaculture dense 1/4 acre suburban properties in the world 3] Links to podcasts, you tube presentations, suburban permaculture suburbanpermaculture.org check the "media" tab drop down menu This is not a permaculture class but builds on permaculture ideals and values. The ideal, to create/expand alternatives to capitalism and the consumer culture. Please forward this message. Thanks! -Jan Spenser *** Thank you for reading! Team NW Permaculture
