Community or Bust! Convergence 2022 and collective retreat
Hello earth and people carers and community builders, These are the questions we’re asking as we set up the organization for the future. We invite you to have these conversations live with us. Please give us your feedback in any and all of these ways:
Our main goal at NWPCC is community building across the northwest, while cultivating a dynamic that lends itself to leadership more inclusive of our whole region (Oregon and Washington). We feel the best way to do this is showing up where the action is, and it’s with you all! Your projects and events. Its all on our calendar. Send us more for the calendar. We are working on a Eugene event… want to help make it happen? Come to our Community and Board meetings. Our Direction We are preparing for our future while supporting others events and projects. We are planning a collaborative village building series of land restoration projects with organizations across the region. Do you know of a project that needs a boost through partnering with NWPCC. Get it on our calendar! Anyone interested in being part of a land restoration team? Or an organizational restoration team? Please join our conversations on organizational sustainability. This will be the focus of our fall retreat too. Fall Retreat We will gather this fall to discuss together the NWPCC organization, plan the future together. It's an organizational Community Retreat to continue to deepen the listening so our actions are well informed on how to show up for our future as a sustainable organization. Discussion at Community Retreat & at co-hosted events:
Community Meeting Tomorrow This Thursday's community meeting 6/9/22 7pm - zoom info here, a space to listen and share. It will be different and longer (1.5 to 2 hrs), inviting deeper conversations with our New Era Convergence folks, to experience a taste of a ‘Living Room Conversation’. Designed to find out how we can best serve our communities real needs in building a resilient community on our own land, our home here in the Pacific NW. We’ll start with announcements and brief check ins, followed by this facilitated conversation by NEC. Save The Farm Finally, and most pressing (IMHO, Julie speaking), we must also talk about Saving the Farm that has housed Shaelee's family, organic farm, tea business, commercial kitchen for the community (Olympic makers coop and more) and will host our fall Community Retreat - we have a few weeks left! Share with your friends and networks please - https://chuffed.org/project/rally-4-goodtopia-farms See you tomorrow, 6/9/22 7pm in Zoom… for deeper discussions of a more resilient future, Julie, Shaelee and Team NW Permaculture convergence PS - The resources of this organization are for meaningfully serving you, our community's real needs. The hope/intent of our one main focus in all we do, invites your help and engagement in building up the depth of conversations (and listening) required to make a meaningful, actionable fall Community Retreat at Shaelee’s farm so we can plan our future together! PPS - Come talk to us anytime in Slack. ![]()
